The Giants split a pair of close games today at th The Giants split a pair of close games today at the Western Invitational Tournament in Hyrum, UT; beating the Green Canyon Huskers 2-1 and falling to the Burley, ID Green Sox 7-8 in six innings. Corbin Goodell was on the mound for six innings in game one with Derringer Holding finishing up in the seventh. The Giants had an early lead in game two but got chipped away and were tied 7-7 by the bottom of five. Brandon Torres and Milo Gray each had two RBI's against Burley and the team collected a total of seven walks. Stay tuned for tomorrow's schedule as the rest of tonight's games wrap up and the organizers release who is playing whom and where. Let's go Giants!!
Join varsity today in Hyrum, UT for a double heade Join varsity today in Hyrum, UT for a double header in the Western Invitational Tournament. They start the day off against the Green Canyon Huskers at 11:30 AM, then get a break before taking on the Burley Green Sox at 4:30 PM. After the Green Sox game they'll head back to Hyrum City field for dinner and a skills competition between the teams, which is always a great time. Keep your eyes on the instagram account for Saturday's schedule - we will get it after the finish of Friday's games. Let's go Giants!!

This is always a great tournament as we get to face some teams that we don't get to see very often, and there is a fantastic skills challenge on Friday night that the team has been practicing hard for. I hope the Giants Nation can make the trip, but if not, be sure to tune in on GameChanger! The Giants and the Sheridan Jets split today in a The Giants and the Sheridan Jets split today in a doubleheader at Giants Field, with Corbin Goodell and Derringer Holding starting on the mound in each game. The first game got away from us in the 7th, but the Giants came back and fought hard in the 2nd game, winning 4-3 in 7. Varsity plays next in the Western Invitational Tournament in Logan, starting Thursday night at 7:30 PM. Catch the action on GameChanger or we hope to see you there!!
